Dambusters Tour from Chesterfield Nostalgia Cafe
In March 1943, the Lancaster crews of 617 Squadron began training for a top secret mission. Based at Scampton in Lincolnshire, the Squadron's training was conducted along the Derwent Valley in the Derbyshire countryside West of Sheffield. The mission was the 'Dam Busters' raid on the Ruhr Valley.
This scenic tour will fly you over the Ladybower Reservoir and the Derwent Valley, where the Dambusters training took place.
This historic flight will also incude views of Chatsworth House, the Mam Tor rock formations and other areas of the beautiful Peak District National Park. The flight will take about 30 minutes. Our local and experienced pilot will give you a commentary as you fly to make sure you don't miss a thing..
We will cruise at around 100mph and 1500 feet and the Dambuster Tour is approximately 30 mins in duration.
